Bay Dreams brings twice the magic in 2019!

US rap collective Migos may have cancelled their upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour, including their headline slot at 2019’s Bay Dreams: The Mount, but thanks to the equally talented Sheck Wes and Rich The Kid, Bay Dreams will still be no less than a magical musical feast.

Migos are supposed to headline Bay Dreams Festival in Mount Maunganui, but have been forced to cancel their set due to unforeseen circumstances. Harlem hip hop's finest, Sheck Wes and one of the driving forces of Atlanta’s trap scene, Rich The Kid, will be filling in their slot.

They will be joining Cardi B, who is set to headline both Bay Dreams dates in Mount Manganui and Nelson, along with a talent-packed bill which includes Shapeshifter, Tash Sultana, Sticky Fingers, Peking Duk, $uicideboy$, Macky Gee, Pnau, Katchafire and more!

Bay Dreams has established itself as New Zealand's biggest festival, selling out year after year. And now with the event returning to its home of Mount Maunganui, and heading for the first time in Nelson, it's gearing up to be the highlight of the Kiwi summer. Both locations now boast two main stages for the first time.

Bay Dreams' pre-party at The Mount on 1st January is upping the ante, adding an awesome line up of artists, including UK dance duo Chase & Status (DJ set), Miami rapper Smokepurpp and hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash. Electronic maestros Hybrid Minds who sold out their entire previous NZ run are onboard, with Tomorrow People, Chores and T1R flying the Kiwi flag. Crowd favourites Shapeshifter, Mr Carmack and L.A.B are also set to join the bill.

Major big hitters—Shapeshifter, Australian singers and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana, rock ensemble Sticky Fingers and dynamic duos Peking Duk and $uicideboy$—are geared up to set the stage on fire for the Bay Dreams Festival’s main party on January 2 at Mt Maunganui. Also joining the show are British DJ and Producer Macky Gee, electro-pop trio Pnau, the ever-impressive Katchafire and NZ’s unmissable acts Home Brew, Delta Heavy, Ladi6 and 12th Planet. Adding to the excitement for those who are more bass-inclined, are D&B group Hospital Records, featuring Danny Byrd, London Elektricity, S.P.Y., Logistics, Etherwood, Dynamite MC, and guests. Other acts include Virtual Riot, P-Money, Nitti Gritti, Truth and Times x Two.

In Nelson, Mr Carmack, Hybrid Minds, P-Money and Stanton Warriors are first announced for the Bay Dreams' pre-party on January 3. On January 4, Bay Dreams’ sister festival in Nelson will again include a list of world-renowned artists such as Tash Sultana, Sticky Fingers, Peking Duk, $uicideboy$, Macky Gee, Pnau, Katchafire, Home Brew, Delta Heavy with mighty Shapeshifter closing the main stage. The Hospital Records stage will also again feature Danny Byrd, London Elektricity, S.P.Y., Logistics, Etherwood and Dynamite MC.

Camping is available at both festivals, and this year steps it up once again with entertainment such as NZ's biggest silent disco, a premium marketplace and hot showers.
