Shawn Mendes heads back to NZ this November

Armed with a slew of fresh tracks from his latest self-titled album, international phenomenal artist Shawn Mendes is set to perform at Auckland's Spark Arena in November next year. Before owning the Auckland centrestage, Shawn Mendes will first make his comeback in Australia where he'll be playing Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Shawn Mendes' 2019 tour follows 2016's 'Illuminate' (certified Gold in Australia, featuring 3x Platinum 'There's Nothing Holding Me Back') and 2014's 'Handwritten', which included five-time Platinum smash hit single 'Stitches'. His huge run of shows now includes over 60 dates across four continents, kicking off in Europe before traversing the Americas and touching down in Australia and New Zealand.

Mendes, who is one of TIME's Most Influential Artists of 2018, will be playing his self-titled third album after owning the no. 1 spot on both the US Billboard 200 and ARIA Album charts, making him the third youngest solo artist of all time with three no. 1 albums. Shawn crossed over one billion career streams globally within a week of its release whilst he's surpassed 11 billion song streams globally to date.

Lead single 'In My Blood', which was Portugal's official anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2018, has already been certified Platinum in AUS/Gold in NZ, with 'Lost in Japan' and 'Youth (feat. Khalid)' being both certified Gold in Australia. Each single has received rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard, The New York Times, and Variety, and occupied the no. 1 and no. 2 slots on iTunes charts and Spotify's 'New Music Friday' playlist.
