Passenger locks in New Zealand show this November

Following the release of his single 'Hell Or High Water', British indie-folk artist Passenger (aka Mike Rosenberg) sings his way back to New Zealand, playing his latest album ‘Runaway’ at Auckland’s Powerstation this November.

After serenading Kiwi fans, Passenger will then perform a series of Australian shows happening at Brisbane's The Tivoli Theatre, Melbourne's The Forum, Sydney's Enmore Theatre, Adelaide's The Gov, Perth's Astor Theatre and Metricup's 3 Oceans Palandri Estate.

'Runaway' finds Passenger embracing the epic once again—the melodies are unforgettable, the choruses colossal. Even though it was recorded between the UK and Australia with co-producer, Chris Vallejo (INXS, Empire Of The Sun, Josh Pyke), the 10-track album was imagined as unfolding against a backdrop of American landscapes. Instead of following a usual video process, Passenger and video director Jarrad Seng spent three weeks making videos across the US to capture the visual accompaniments to the aural landscapes.

The video for 'Runaway' reflects this beautifully, seeing Rosenberg run through breathtaking landscapes in the US—from the city to the countryside before entering coastal and forest terrain. Rosenberg says he is excited by the idea of hitting the road again—solo, this time after he brought in a full band for 2017's 'Young As The Morning' tour. And he's still busking, launching 'Runaway' in Europe with a series of busking appearances with more to come.

"Years ago, it was just me and a suitcase of CDs... We used to get 50 people. Now it's on a stage with a soundman, telling councils in advance. We might play to 3,000 people. But busking is something we've always done, a unique part of what Passenger is." - Mike Rosenberg
