John Mayer to serenade New Zealand fans in March 2019

After nine long years, the seven-time Grammy Award-winning artist and iconic singer-songwriter John Mayer is heading back to New Zealand, bringing his massive chart-topping hits to Auckland's Spark Arena this March 2019.

Following his intimate NZ concert, John Mayer will head his way to Australia for a trio of shows. He will be performing at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena.

The Connecticut-based singer is considered to be one of the most remarkable music icons, known for his numerous top-selling tracks such as this year's 'New Light' and other classic anthems like 'Gravity', 'Love On the Weekend', 'Heartbreak Warfare', 'Daughters', 'Waiting on the World to Change', and 'Your Body Is a Wonderland'. These 'An Evening with John Mayer' concerts will feature songs spanning Mayer's entire recording career and mark his first tour down under since 2014.

"I can't think of a better place to start my world tour than New Zealand and Australia. It's been way too long since I've been back there." - John Mayer

In addition to his solo world tour, John Mayer is again touring North America in 2019, for the fourth consecutive year, with Dead & Company, featuring Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.

Mayer's latest album, 'The Search For Everything' (2017 through Sony Music NZ), is his seventh studio album and eighth RMNZ Top 40, preceded by debut album 'Room for Squares' in 2002, 'Heavier Things' (2003), Platinum album 'Continuum' (2006), Gold album 'Battle Studies' (2009), and RMNZ #1 'Born and Raised' (2012) plus 2013's 'Paradise Valley'.

During his extensively spanning career, John Mayer has earned seven U.S. #1s on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart and 25 entries on the Hot Rock Songs chart, the most for any solo artist. In 2018, he released the Gold-certified single 'New Light' whilst working on his eighth solo album—the follow-up to his 2017's critically acclaimed 'The Search for Everything'. He recently launched 'Current Mood'—his highly regarded Instagram live show on Sundays—which some have dubbed, "the best way to start the week on a high note, maybe even the only way."

Watch out for tickets and witness John Mayer's heart-warming show next year!
