The Raconteurs lock in one-off NZ date this April

Grammy Award-winning indie-rock superstars, The Raconteurs (Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler) have finally announced their much-awaited headlining concert at Auckland's Powerstation this April. Following their NZ debut, the band will play their exclusive Australian tour (as The Saboteurs), hitting Melbourne's Regent Theatre and Sydney's Big Top Luna Park.

With each member having revered solo work and musical credits like 'The White Stripes' (White), 'The Dead Weather' (White, Lawrence), 'The Greenhornes' (Lawrence, Keeler) and 'Blanche' (Lawrence), The Raconteurs are no strangers to critical acclaim. In December 2018, the band made their long-awaited return, releasing their first new music in over 10 years. With their epic comeback, they have dropped two chart-topping songs: 'Sunday Driver' that comes with a video directed by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Steven Sebring, and 'Now That You're Gone' captured by famous director Dikayl Rimmasch featuring burlesque performer, Gia Genevieve.

Making their debut with their rollicking 2006 track 'Steady, As She Goes', the band's debut album 'Broken Boy Soldiers' entered the musical charts worldwide—owning the #2 spot in the UK, #7 in the US, #12 in NZ and #14 in AU. Off the back of their hit singles 'Broken Boy Soldier' and 'Hands', Mojo Magazine has chosen their record as their 'Album of the Year'. The Raconteurs' 2008 album 'Consolers of the Lonely' featured another hit single 'Salute Your Solution' and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album. Last January, the band celebrated the record's 10-year anniversary, announcing a special reissue package via the Third Man Vault subscription series.
