Katherine Jenkins sings her way to New Zealand this November

Multi-award winning songstress and phenomenal performer Katherine Jenkins is singing her way back to New Zealand this November, performing two intimate shows happening at Christchurch's Isaac Theatre Royal and Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre. Before the NZ dates, she will first wind up a short run of shows in Australia, hitting Perth's Riverside Theatre, Melbourne's Palais Theatre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Sydney's State Theatre and Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC).

This is a long awaited return for this much celebrated artist who was last seen in New Zealand with Plácido Domingo performing arena shows in 2011. "When I performed in Christchurch in 2011 with Placido Domingo, I always said I would return to see the city rebuilt and in a stronger place," says Katherine Jenkins. "I already feel emotional and excited at the thought of singing there in November and meeting the incredibly inspirational people who helped put on the charity concert those years ago."

Having performed in some of the most iconic venues around the world, Katherine Jenkins has become one of Britain's best-selling classical artists for the past 25 years. This classical-crossover singer first came to public attention when she sang at Westminster Cathedral—honouring Pope John Paul II's silver jubilee in 2003.

Following on from the success of her 2004 debut album 'Premiere'—which topped the classical charts for eight weeks in a row—Katherine Jenkins continued her meteoric rise to fame. Since her debut, series of accolades have been pouring out which includes her outstanding performances at the Rugby World Cup, the Buckingham Palace for The Queen and the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo.

Since becoming an international name, Katherine Jenkins has gone on to release 11 critically acclaimed studio albums, has performed for the troops in Afghanistan, and has received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and numerous music awards—cementing her place as one of the world's most prolific crossover artists of this era.
