Bastille lock in one-off NZ date in January 2020

In celebration of their latest 'Doom Days Tour, Part 2', award-winning pop-rock quartet Bastille have finally announced their headlining concert at Auckland's Spark Arena in January next year. After their NZ date, they'll be wrapping up a four-date tour in Australia, performing shows at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Perth's HBF Stadium.

Bastille have recently dropped their third studio album 'Doom Days', featuring 'Quarter Past Midnight', 'Doom Days', 'Joy', and the freshly-released new cut 'Those Nights'. Lyrically provocative and sonically diverse, the album draws on influences in gospel, house and R&B as well as incorporates instrumentation inspired by the band's 'ReOrchestrated Tour' last year. Recorded throughout 2018 in their South London studio, 'Doom Days' sees the Grammy-nominated band stretch out and open-up like never before. "It's a dance record but on our terms," Dan says. "I've called it an apocalyptic party record but a party for us is all-nighters with your mates, not popping bottles in the club. It's very British: rough around the edges."

"As pessimistic as it sounds, if this is the end of days we want to be in Bastille's bunker, dancing to their anthemic stadium bangers until the bitter end." - MTV.

After entering onto the music scene with their 2013 debut 'Bad Blood', Bastille have immediately gained a cult-following, captivating thousands of fans with their multi-platinum mega-hit 'Pompeii' and hit singles 'Flaws' and 'Laura Palmer'. Their 2016 album 'Wild World' continued the trend, giving the band a second #1 album in the UK. Their chart-topping tracks like 'Good Grief', 'Warmth', 'Overjoyed', 'Glory', 'No Angels' and 'Fake It' have taken the band from being quintessential alternative popsters to festival favourites in just a few years. They have recently slayed their live set with an orchestra and gospel choir on their audacious 'ReOrchestrated Tour', and released the fourth instalment in their freewheeling mixtape series 'Other People’s Heartache'.

Throughout their career, Bastille have sold more than eight million albums and collected over six billion streams, making them one of the most streamed acts on the planet. They're consistently sitting in the Top 100 streaming artists in the world (currently at #54). Recent Marshmello collab 'Happier' is now certified Platinum in the UK and 5x Platinum in Australia, having spent a full six months in the top 10 of the US Hot 100 Chart.

Watch out for tickets and experience Bastille's exhilarating performance next year!
