New Zealand's hottest three-day music extravaganza, Northern Bass Festival, has finally dropped its first lineup of top international hitmakers bound for Mangawhai's Worsfold Farm this December.
"Northern Bass is an amazing New Year experience for music fans, combining an incredible location with the best music lineup possible." - Gareth Popham, Festival Director
Heading up the stellar bill are electro-grime lords Foreign Beggars, who are set to play Northern Bass one last time. Meanwhile, US rapper Freddie Gibbs will make his festival debut, following the release of his latest album 'Bandana'. Also joining the stage are local legends Fat Freddy's Drop and breakout Kiwi bass producer, Quix. Drum & bass fans will also witness four international hard hitters—Austrian superstars Camo & Krooked, Dutch electronic trio Noisia, English record producer Friction, and UK production icon Shy FX (teaming up with Stamina MC)—shaking the stage from the ground up.
Sharing the NZ stage for the very first time is Manchester-born urban/trap queen, IAMDDB. Playing alongside the already awesome lineup are grime rapper D Double E, hip-hop artist Chali 2na, breakbeat producer Krafty Kuts and reggae heroes Eva Lazarus and Mungos HiFi. Electronic acts also included on the list are in-demand D&B producers Benny L and Break, as well as acclaimed D&B stalwarts Lenzman and Ulterior Motive. Other acclaimed MCs also set to grace Mangawhai's stage are DJ Pinch, DJ Coki, DC Breaks and TOKiMONSTA.
Festival favourites like Ladi6, Noah Slee, JessB and Melodownz will also be pumping up crowds, with three up-and-comers in tow—Silver Scroll, Chaii and Vayne. Rounding out the first lineup drop are a contingent of awesome local acts like: Montell2099, Opiuo, State of Mind, Dan Aux, Dylan C, Ben Soundscape and Collette Warren, Emma G & Tali, Chiccoreli, J'Dubs, Rhyas, Flowidus and Haan808.
Whilst another set of star-studded bill is yet to be announced, you can now purchase your tickets and start prepping up for a fist-pumping festival experience that is Northern Bass 19/20!
