In celebration of his latest 'Once Upon A Mind' tour, award-winning UK sensation James Blunt is returning to New Zealand for shows at Auckland's Spark Arena and Christchurch Town Hall this November 2020. Before the NZ dates, he will first be wrapping up events happening in Australia. He is set to play two headline concerts at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena and Sydney's International Convention Centre, preceding his A Day On The Green gigs at Perth's Kings Park & Botanic Garden, Tanunda's Peter Lehmann Wines, Yarra Valley's Rochford Wines, Bimbadgen Estate and Brisbane's Sirromet Winery. Joining him at all his Australian shows is fellow pop-rock singer, Jason Mraz.
Announced as Blunt's sixth studio album, 'Once Upon A Mind' was released last October 25 via Atlantic Records. It boasts a string of critically-acclaimed singles like 'The Truth', 'Champions', 'Monsters', 'Youngster' and many others. Moreover, the record was previewed with a soaring new track 'Cold' which is a circular nod to his global smash hit 'You're Beautiful'. It reflects where Blunt has come from—and where he's now going. "I'm back where I started," says he of his new material. "Writing songs for me and the people around me. And I'm free again."
"'Once Upon A Mind' is by far James' most personal and raw (album) since his debut." – Sun
"If 'Back To Bedlam' was his songs of innocence, then 'Once Upon A Mind' is his songs of experience." – Mail On Sunday
It's been 15 years since Blunt released 'Back To Bedlam'—an album that earned him five Grammy Award nominations and two Brit Awards. Across his extensively spanning career, he's sold over 23 million albums worldwide, has won two Ivor Novello Awards and has gained a global cult-following.
