My Baby to tour New Zealand this February and March 2020

Psychedelic blues-trance group My Baby are bringing their massive 'My Baby Live!' tour to New Zealand this February and March 2020. They'll be performing headline shows happening at Raglan's YOT Club, Auckland's Sawmill Cafe, Mt Maunganui's Totara Street, New Plymouth's Butlers Reef, Wellington's San Fran, Motueka Memorial Hall, Christchurch's Blue Smoke and Dunedin's The Captain Cook Tavern. Apart from these dates, My Baby will also be doing Sunsetter - Takapuna Food, Wine & Music Festival and Hokitika's Wildfoods Festival 2020 gigs in-between.

My Baby (whose members are Daniel "Da Freez" Johnson, Joost Sheik van Dijck and Cato van Dijck) are touring in celebration of their sixth and most recent album 'My Baby Live!'. The record features a live recording of their songs, exactly the way they are performed on stage. Though it has always been a challenge to put long live jams on a record, the band have still achieved what they were aiming for.

"On stage we always get such an amazing feedback from the audience, which feeds and gives great energy to the show, so this recording was especially tough." - Cato van Dijck, My Baby’s lead singer

Formed in 2012, My Baby are a formidable act who have flawlessly infused gospel and blues with ancient folk melodies. Their music has the rawness of '70s' funk, African desert blues, Moroccan gnawa, Indian raga and a touch of EDM. Unsurprisingly, their danceable beats and captivating live shows have taken the world by storm—building up a dedicated and loyal cult-following. Across their spanning career, they've played some of the world's biggest festivals including 'Glastonbury', 'Isle of Wight', 'Sziget', 'Fusion' and 'Exit'.
