Mika to perform his first-ever New Zealand concert in February

As part of his critically-acclaimed 'Revelation' Tour, international power-pop act Mika is playing his first-ever NZ show at the Auckland Town Hall - Great Hall next month. After the NZ date, he'll be winding up concerts happening in Australia. The route will see him perform at Brisbane's The Tivoli Threatre, Sydney's Enmore Theatre and Melbourne's The Forum.

Mika goes on tour in celebration of 'My Name Is Michael Holbrook'—his fifth and most recent album that was recorded using vintage synths in Brussels with producers Marc Crew and Dan Priddy. It features organic soundscapes which speak to various decades of pop and represent Mika's journey of self-discovery. Described by Billboard as "his boldest record yet," it includes a string of much-acclaimed singles like 'Ice Cream', 'Tiny Love', 'Cry' and 'Platform Ballerina'.

In 2007, Mika entered the glam-rock scene with his explosive debut 'Life in Cartoon Motion'. It's a groundbreaking record that earned him a Grammy Award nomination in 2007 and a BRIT Award for British Breakthrough Artist in 2008. Featuring global smash hit 'Grace Kelly' and its follow-ups 'Love Today', 'Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)', 'Happy Ending' and 'Lollipop', the album has been certified Gold and Platinum across 32 different countries with 10 million sales across the world.

Recently, Mika has been featured on Jack Savoretti's 2019 album the 'Special Edition: Singing to Strangers' with 'Youth and Love (featuring Mika)', and Kylie Minogue's 2016 festive album 'Kylie Christmas (Snow Queen Edition)' with 'Wonderful Christmastime (with Mika)'.
