Eventfinda Stadium

Brian Blake has worked with Eventfinda for the past ten years - including at Trusts Arena where he appointed Eventfinda as the venue’s official ticketing partner, then at Vodafone Events Centre and now at Eventfinda Stadium.

Eventfinda Stadium (formerly North Shore Events Centre) is Auckland’s original indoor stadium with a capacity just shy of 5000. International musicians such as Bob Dylan and Sting have graced the stage, and it’s hosted top-level sports events including Silver Ferns, Tall Blacks and Breakers games. The community also actively use the venue.

Brian Blake, now CEO of Eventfinda Stadium, says the flexibility and size of the venue makes it an ideal multi-use location. Blake says the wide variety of events hosted at the Stadium and the difference in each promoter’s experience means it’s essential to work with a ticketing platform that everyone can use.

“Eventfinda offers two key benefits. Firstly, the platform has credibility. It’s suitable for top tier promoters as well as community fundraisers. We can rely on the fact that everyone can work with this platform because it’s easy to use and does the job exceptionally well.”

“It’s also flexible – for example, you can customise the fee structure meaning promoters can offer a $5 ticket that is not all fees. For some other ticketing providers that’s simply not possible,” says Blake. “The team are willing to adapt and meet the unique needs of customers which is a major reason why I keep coming back to Eventfinda, and ultimately why they have naming rights to the Stadium.”

While promoters can access aspects of their Eventfinda events at the venue, Stadium staff have oversight and management of the back-end system which streamlines operational planning and configuration of all aspects of ticketing the venue, including real-time reporting, box office sales, and access control.

“Eventfinda’s ticket scanning technology is fast and reliable. This is a real asset because it enables us to get a bird’s eye view of how many people are in the venue at any given time. Their box office systems are equally easy to use, allowing operations staff to be up to speed and working confidently in a fraction of the time required for other systems.”
