Auckland Arts Festival 2020

Auckland’s annual multi-arts summer festival is back! Spanning theatre, dance, music, cabaret, circus, family shows and visual art, Auckland Arts Festival – Ahurei Toi Ō Tamaki returns 11-29 March 2020 featuring New Zealand and international acts to inspire, provoke and entertain.

Highlights of AAF 2020 include Ballet Preljocaj’s delectably daring dance Snow White, renegade high-energy circus Circolombia – Acéléré, globally-acclaimed Los Angeles Master Chorale performing Lagrime Di San Pietro, theatre from Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, and brand new trans-Tasman wedding rom-com Black Ties, plus circus-cabaret extravaganza Limbo Unhinged.

A globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place every March, Auckland Arts Festival is a place for ambitious ideas by storytellers, provocateurs and creators and reflects our contemporary, cosmopolitan city with its many communities.

AAF 2020 is the 12th Auckland Arts Festival and contrasts tough stuff with escapism and elation, laughter and excitement. Reminding us of the joyfulness of human life are acrobats, singers, actors and musicians in gleeful celebration of all that is fun and good in the world.
