The Spring Fling is a series of standout events through September and October, capturing the essence of springtime in Central Hawke’s Bay! Spring is a stunning time of year in Central Hawke’s Bay and the Spring Fling is a wonderful showcase of the region with gorgeous events at our historic homesteads, stunning coastal walks, boutique markets, to the beautiful Taniwha Daffodils with over 20 acres of daffodils to enjoy. Whether your passion is art, food, wine, shopping, cycling or the great outdoors – the Spring Fling has a little something for all.

The historic Homestead Trail weekend is a feature event with four of our impressive homesteads opening their doors for a weekend of history, stunning gardens, gorgeous food and live music.

The World’s Longest Place Name walk or drive at Porangahau is a unique event not to be missed. Marvel as your local guide weaves knowledge of the area with enchanting stories of the past while you ascend to the top of Te Taumata. Or stretch your legs on the Coastal Hill Country Walk which will have you traversing across magnificent rural landscapes with sweeping coastal views of the Pacific Ocean and Te Angiangi Marine Reserve
