Whakatipu Music Festival

Easter Weekend 2025 promises to be a festive few days rich in musical celebrations in remarkable Queenstown.
Weaving together Aotearoa’s outstanding emerging artists and international luminaries with local performers, grassroots music initiatives and dedicated local educators, the Whakatipu Music Festival delivers an exhilarating event for every taste and ability.
Six major performances will take place at the Queenstown Memorial Centre over four days from April 18 to 21 showcasing everything from Bach to Broadway.
Twelve young artists from around New Zealand and on the cusp of their own major careers will perform alongside five internationally renowned classical musicians
A series of public workshops are being held alongside the concerts. A key feature of the weekend is the Rejoice! mass choir performance on the final afternoon featuring festival artists and a live orchestra performing the O Fortuna, Hallelujah Chorus and Ode to Joy.
