Aotearoa has celebrated local and international Hip Hop here since 1997 with Auckland's most well known hip hop club night "Escapism".
Manchoo, Slave, Manuel Bundy, Pari and a whole posse of their mates have made Safari Lounge their Hip Hop home on Ponsonby Road for many years.
RnB night is celebrated with Old School King Ned Roy and Thursdays are hosted by Dick Magik Johnson playing his famous brand of house music.
The refurbishments and extension of the premises have made Safari Lounge a unique and special venue.
