The Blue Mountain Centre's focus is horse well-being.

Our aim is to improve equine health through sharing, advancing and encouraging international scientific-based hoof care research. This commitment to horse well-being and specialist equine research has seen the Blue Mountain Centre grow an impressive portfolio of clients and success stories. These range from elite competition horses, race horses, show ring and breeding stock, to hacks and children's ponies.

We operate a specialist rehabilitation clinic and full range of hoof care services in the Nelson-Marlborough region, as well as having a significant number of client horses based at Massey University in Palmerston North. For those located outside these areas, we are able to accept horses for treatment at our private clinic in Nelson Bays.

The Blue Mountain Centre also provides support, training and information to farriers and veterinarians interested in Equine Lameness Prevention Organization (ELPO) protocols, or those wishing to start a career in modern farriery.
