Brookfields Scout Camp

The Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre is nestled in the heart of Moores Valley in Wainuiomata just 40 minutes’ drive from Wellington City and 20 minutes from the Hutt Valley. Bequeathed to the Scout Association by the late Miss Mary Crowther in 1958, Brookfield is available for all and is extensively utilised by school and church groups, businesses undertaking team building exercises, sporting groups and numerous other groups and associations from across the country.

Brookfield boasts comfortable cabin accommodation for more than 100 people and has large kitchen, dining and hall facilities to cater for groups of every size. If camping is more you’re thing then Brookfield boasts in excess of 30 hectares of camping space for you to pitch a tent. All camping areas are in close proximity to toilet and shower blocks and a Camp Kitchen with fridges, freezers, stoves and microwaves is at hand should still need a few mod cons during your stay. Every camping area has numerous outside fireplaces so don’t forget to bring your marshmallows for toasting as well!
