On Sunday 6 May the classic Tane Mahuta Fun Run & Walk is revived! Explore Northland's beautiful Waipoua Forest on foot with two distances available, catering for serious runners through to casual walking groups. The track is a combination of flat-bush walking tracks and sealed roads. Starting at Tane Mahuta and winding its way down the road beneath a mantle of ancient Kauri trees, giant ferns, totara, rimu and taraire, and finishing on a bush track to the Waipoua Forest Visitor Centre.
