Horopito Hall

The "Old Horopito School" is classified as a Group B Heritage Building. The Horopito Residents and Ratepayers Society came about in 2006 as a result of the local Ruapehu District Council giving the community the option to take over the Horopito Domain, consisting of the old school building and land or it was to be sold.
The society was formed with the aim to preserve the "Old Horopito School and Domain" for the social use of Horopito Residents and fostering our growing rural community.

The school can be hired for:

Weddings
Birthday celebrations
Wedding anniversaries
Movie nights
Corporate training

Hire Rates
Event and weekend bond is $100, many donate the bond, this is much appreciated - thank you. A committee member will check the hall prior to a bond refund.

The following rates apply for Non Members :
Weddings and other events $300.00 Per Day or $400 for weekend
Meetings $75.00 for half day or $100.00 for full day
Camper CAP stop Per stand/night = $5
