Ministry of Food Cafe

Ministry of Food was started up in June 1988 by Brenda Jessup and Tony Lynch. They came across the abandoned Civil Service Cafeteria in the Bowen State Building, a rambling kitchen and dining space, which in its glory days fed hundreds of public servants daily. When Brenda and Tony discovered this enormous hospo relic its only use was by The Tea Ladies who serviced all the floors above with trollies of hot water, tea bags, instant coffee and Gingernuts.
