Mitchell Studios Fine Art Gallery & Creative Agency

Situated in the North Wellington suburb of Khandallah, our art gallery was established in June 2018 following the success of a pop-up exhibition of the work of late New Zealand artist Leonard Victor Mitchell. Now in our 4th year, we are dedicated to supporting local artists, artisans, creators & makers. The gallery has an ever-changing display of original artworks – paintings, etchings, drawings and mixed media works – as well as limited and open edition fine art prints. We also hold regular solo and group exhibitions.

You can visit Mitchell Studios for a carefully curated selection of New Zealand made ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, homewares, books and gifts. We are spoiled with lots of room for browsing! Khandallah Village has a number of fantastic shops and facilities. We’re 10 minutes drive from central Wellington or you can take the bus (22, 24 & 25) or train (Johnsonville line, Box Hill stop). Treat yourself to a coffee and a bite to eat from our neighbours at Parsons Café and you can enjoy it on the deck behind the gallery.
