Miranda and Marc opened MIXT in February 2004. MIXT stocks an ever-changing range of vintage/retro furniture and collectibles along with contemporary New Zealand made design, jewellery and gifts. MIXT offers affordable and stylish furniture and homewares and supports local artists and designers.
Marc has a background in antiques and has owned a number of second-hand shops and Miranda has an arts background and an interest in New Zealand made craft and design. The unique mix of stock available at MIXT reflects these interests.
We are always looking at ways we can keep MIXT up-to-date and interesting for our customers. We already produce some of our own lines and intend to develop this side of the business. We are keen to source more contemporary NZ made items and are always looking for new designers and ranges that will suit our store.
