Located at the beautiful Tahunanui Beach, Nelson's Natureland Zoo is a fun, family friendly setting. Visitors can view exotic, domestic and native animals. See the antics of busy meerkats and mischevious monkeys. View a range of stunning native animals such kereru, tui, native geckos, kea - the world's only mountain parrot as well as the tuatara - an ancient reptile. Visit our Conservation Corner and learn about how we are working in collaboration with Project Janzoon through breeding Kaka and Yellow Crowned Kakariki.
You can also help to feed our friendly farm animals such as sheep, alpacas, goats. Bring a picnic and enjoy the setting. Grab a coffee or ice cream from the shop while the kids hang out in the playground.
