Old Te Aute Store Museum

The museum incorporates the house built in 1858 and the store which is in the centre of the building. The store is in the original and set up as a store of the early days of the NZ pioneers. It contains a collection of grocery items, bottles, clothing, shoes and assorted items that there would have been 140 years ago in a general store.

There is also an old coach house at the rear of the building which has collections of old saws ansd assorted old type tools. Maori Art, old books and newspapers and assorted hardware are also displayed
