Ombrellos has been around for a while (in fact, some regard it as a bit of a local institution), but owners Josh and Katie are pretty new. Dunedin locals (well, except Josh, but let’s gloss over that), the team has travelled extensively and returned to town, selfishly determined to create the kind of place they want to go when they go out.
That means great food, and a great range of food, but also a lively, fresh atmosphere, definitely good drinks. A place you can come with friends, or come alone. Fun, friendly staff, who are proud of what they’re serving. Somewhere you can come every night for tortillas and a beer, but where it’s also safe to bring Nana on her 85th.
