What is Pa-Kua?
Pa-Kua is an ancient knowledge passed from generation to generation through oral transmition. Today Pa-Kua is taught in occident using a belt system, and it’s ancient diagram is applied to martial arts, ancient weapons, tai chi and more.
In Chinese Pa means 8 and Kua means mutation, transformation, change, etc. The most accurate translation being the study of the eight states of change, a complete knowledge that allows the student to understand and overcome the changes that we go through in life, instead of suffering because of them.
The ancient diagram contains a lot of information encoded with several Chinese concepts, among them yin yang the manifestation of complementary opposites (day and night, hot and cold, men and women, etc.) and sky man earth the three great fountains of energy (breath, nutrition and ancestral energy, mind, body and emotion, professional, social and intimate, etc.)

This concepts create the trigrams, 8 three lined graphs that are named after elements of nature which in their most pure state contain individual characteristic that identify them.

The study of these trigrams allows us to perform at any activity more effectively and with plenty more harmony, being able to analyze every situation and to act with the best response.

In our school Masters have applied this knowledge to several disciplines in which they discovered a great internal benefit for those who practice them, and thus having a great variety of options for the most diverse type of people.
These disciplines are:
• Martial Art (personal defense)
• Reflexology (study of microbodies)
• Edged Weapons (the use of swords, knifes, etc.)
• Cosmodinamics (Tai Chi)
• Pa-Kua Rhythm (martial aerobics)
• Sintony (Chinese Yoga)
• Acrobatics (floor abilities)
• Pa-Kua Energy (traditional therapeutic arts)
• Chinese Traditional Archery
