Second Storey is an artist-run space in which established and emerging artists can explore and develop projects to foster art making. By bringing together people and ideas in a mutual learning environment, we aim to encourage experimentation and collaborative dialogue. In this way second storey is a community that is open and diverse, valuing critique and rigorous making.
Second Storey was established in 2011 and is currently based on K'rd, Auckland. It is run by Gemma Skipper, Lisa Rayner, Sarah Alexander, Phillip Good, Claudia Jowitt and Ena Kosovac.
Entrance from Pitt Street. Take the driveway on the far right, between the Methodist Church and the Shavers Shop. We are the second-to-last door.
