Sprig + Fern on Ellis Street in Brightwater has quickly turned into a community hub as well as being a favourite local tavern serving Sprig + Fern Brewing Co’s craft beer range. And just around the corner, Earnest Lord Rutherford’s birthplace memorial.

Sprig + Fern Brightwater is a big part of the community. Each week the Tavern hosts a quiz night to fundraise for the many different sports clubs, community initiatives and charities that need support. These quiz nights have become pretty famous locally, and are an effective way the local community can get behind their neighbours whilst having a good time.

This Tavern offers a unique dining experience which caters for local families. You can order off the Sprig + Fern menu, (ask us about our famous chicken, BBQ and Sour Cream pizza!) Or order fish and chips from the chip shop next door and dine in whilst enjoying your beer. It makes catering to friend and family in your group easy!

The aim of the Sprig + Fern Brightwater Tavern from the outset was to establish a community tavern for all to enjoy without the distraction of tv, pool tables or gaming machines.

In this, we have been successful and we are proud to be part of the vibrant Brightwater community.
