Whitby Library

Whitby Library is a branch of Porirua Library and is located in the left side of the Whitby Shopping Centre, at 69C Discovery Drive, Whitby.

It is next to children's playground, at the south end of the large lake, directly opposite Adventure Park. It is a modern community library and there is free parking at the door. A regular bus service is provided through Whitby by Mana Coach Services and bus stops are located nearby.

The comprehensive collection of adults’ and children’s books, magazines, audio CDs, DVDs and puzzles is kept current and up-to-date.

As part of the focus on the community, the library provides:

- Toddlertime every Friday at 10.30 am – a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs and funtimes for toddlers and babies
- Visiting story tellers
