The death of German pilot the Red Baron -- killed by an Australian soldier in the First World War -- is at the centre of an aviation museum at Ōmaka, near Blenheim. Film director Peter Jackson's collection of First World War fighter aircraft is also on display, along with a tribute to the carrier pigeons that delivered messages during the war.
