Keith Murdoch, the only player to be expelled from the All Blacks, has a compelling and mysterious story attached to him. After a fracas, Murdoch disappeared into the Australian outback and was subsequently tracked by reporter Margot McRae. Ms. McRae has written a funny and fascinating play based on the search for the former rugby star. "Finding Murdoch" is playing in Auckland at the Maidment Theatre through July 19.
We are pleased to have two double passes to see "Finding Murdoch" on Thursday 17 July. To be in to win, tell us why YOU think Murdoch disappeared. Was it the media? Was it the competing rugby unions? An odd fascination with the outback? Love? Just shy? Feel free to imagine why a superstar player would do something this apparently odd. Please share your ideas, no matter how fantastic, in the Post Comments section of the "Finding Murdoch" event page.
(Extra credit will be given to those who include references to the other All Blacks players that were with Murdoch in Wales when the kerfuffle took place, so don't be afraid to show off your 70s rugby knowledge!)
