Distil an NZ native in a stainless still
Decoctions, sherbets, and cordials: prepare botanical bitters using water as a solvent
Walk in the garden, plant identification.
Day Two
Sunday, March 1st 10.30-4.00
Using Alcohol As a Solvent
Turn a wine or fruit ferment into a clear spirit
Prepare a botanical tincture: suitable plants and herb and applications
Maceration and filtering techniques
Prepare plant waxes for perfume or body care
Break for Lunch
Vapour infusions: blend botanicals for a vapour infused gin using traditional gin botanicals and seasonal aromatics
Create your own gin or zero abv cocktail.
All teaching notes about techniques and processes demonstrated will be provided to participants at the beginning of each day along with a list of other resources. Sample bottles of everything prepared during the Masterclass will also be available to take home!
