Try Taiko Drumming with Narukami Taiko

Come and learn taiko with us at our Open Session!
No drumming or music experience necessary. Beginners and all ages welcome! Donation entry.

We are Narukami Taiko, a Japanese taiko drum team in Wellington NZ. We are always looking for new members to join our group! We teach classes in Wellington, and now Petone!

We are holding a one hour open session where you can come and try taiko drumming with us! We will show you the basics of drumming, and you will come out of it playing a fun song.

At the end of the session, we will perform a song for you.

Please bring earplugs as it can get a little loud. You can get disposable ear plugs with a donation.

Current classes open to beginners are:
Sundays 6 - 8pm at Wellington Girls College
Tuesdays 7 - 9pm at Petone Central School
Thursdays 6 - 7:50pm at Newtown Working Mens Bowling Club

Our new term will begin the week of Sunday Jan 26th, and will run for 10 weeks.

Note: Tuesday Petone Class will start Feb 18th due to venue upgrades.
