I'm really excited as our Wairua Winter Wellness Workshops begin next weekend Saturday 17th July, 2021 and to kickstart us off we have Meditation Harakeke Mats with Kairaranga Awatea.
Awatea has great energy, hands on experience and easy techniques that will have you in love with raranga (weaving). Watch out e te whanau this workshop can get you hooked on the raranga buzz.
In this workshop participants will learn to weave their own whāriki/mat from harakeke. All resources will be provided and all we ask is that you bring an open mind willing to learn, big smile and positive energy.
Wairua Winter Wellness Programme
A series of seven Saturday workshops specially designed for adults health and wellbeing through creative activities.
Ages: Adults preferred, please check with the Museum when registering your place, if you have children who are able to work alongside adults.
