The talk begins at 5.45pm, however if you arrive a little earlier, you are very welcome to enjoy viewing the foyer display:

‘Her stories: Women making music in Aotearoa New Zealand’

During NZ Music Month the Hocken Collections is displaying material that details women’s involvement in music – performing, composing, creating, and recording.

These items – recordings, posters, publications, photographs, musical scores, clippings and programmes – tell stories of women’s journeys as musicians, composers, and performers, highlighting the abundant creativity and talent present.
