Join QLDC Libraries in conversation with Margaret McHugh as part of the 'Festival of Authors' World Book Day celebrations.
Margaret is a Southland-born chef whose autobiography/cookbook, The Real McHugh, is a testimony to her culinary skills and her storytelling.
Now Picton-based, Margaret is originally from Winton and enjoyed a happy upbringing abundant with good farm cooking. In 1970 Margaret made her way to London before returning to Queenstown where she became deputy mayor and a firebrand councillor.
