t's time for our last Women on Top event in the Bay of Plenty of 2022!
Although this is an event that celebrates women / wāhine, it is one that welcomes everyone to attend and offers a safe space for both our speakers and our ticket holders.
Our Kaupapa is to listen to people's stories the way they chose to tell them and it is an open and non judgemental space to share whatever they feel safe to share. Women have shared stories of survival, success, challenges, heart break, recovery, business, motherhood, choosing to not be a mother, art, food, music, social justice, love, self worth, self love, change, and whatever else they feel fits - but it’s real. That’s what we support.

Food will be served in Individual Grazing Boxes after entry before the event starts so there will be ** no wait times** on receiving orders! The Grazing Boxes will be available to pre-order via the ticketing site and there will be a limited selection of hot food available on the night ( so we recommend pre-ordering)
Our host as always is our favorite Rachel Taane , registered social worker and all round incredible wāhine and we’re very chuffed to have her back on stage hosting our line-up.
GUEST SPEAKER LINE-UP
Casey Brady,
Learning to walk again, and Director and Business Development Manager of ‘Next Step New Zealand’.
Casey’s journey into the fitness industry started differently to most when in 2017 a motocross accident left her with a spinal cord injury turning her from an adrenaline junkie to paralysed in a blink of an eye. She has since that day been striving to prove the doctors wrong and giving her everything in her will power to walk again.
Beatrice Thorne,
General Manager of ‘Eve Wellness’ ,
Auckland based Menstrual & Hormone Health Brand
I once listened to a podcast about Eve Wellness and menstrual health and I think throughout the next week I told about every single person with a uterus to listen to it. It blew.me.away, and not long after it I had a shelf full of Eve Wellness products from ‘Period Pal’ to ‘Queen V’.

Estelle Baigent,
Owner and Director of ‘Bout Fitness’
Palmerston North born, Estelle became the first New Zealand woman to win a Gold Medal in Taekwondo sparring at a world event at the 2012 World Cup in England. Across world championships and world cups, Estelle has won three gold medals in team events, two individual gold medals, a silver and a bronze and in 2013, she was named Manawatu sportswoman of the year.

30 Minute Hospitality Panel Discussion with :
Danielle Cubis, Passionate Baker, Cake Maker and Owner of Speciality Business, Spongedrop Cakery
With 10 years of working in the advertising industry in Aotearoa and Australia, Dani couldn't avoid her love for cake and made cake making her full time career. Fast-forward to 2021 and Danielle has now been running her much-loved Spongedrop Cakery, based in central Mount Maunganui, for over 9 years.

Rowena Pearce
Owner & Managing Director of Cidery & Cellardoor ‘The Cider Factorie’
Most of you will be familiar with the hidden gem in the hills of Te Puna, ‘ The Cider Factorie’, a favorite weekend go-to spot for delicious food, views and most importantly ; an aray of award winning cider.
Rachel Bailie
Owner and Managing Director of ‘Provenance Distribution’, Wine & Cider Distributor
Rachel has worked for some of the biggest wine portfolios in the industry for over 27 years and while balancing a mum life of four little ones, she is one of the most loved Wine Reps in the Bay ( if not thee most loved.) Rachel has now started her own Distribution company, taking the heap and forging her own path, in partnership with the brands or producers she wholeheartedly represents. There is an unconditional mission to deliver good old fashioned service — the type that involves genuine relationships, conversations and unwavering support.
