Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist and 2018 Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar is set to return to New Zealand, performing in Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium and Auckland's Spark Arena next month for his 'The Damn.' tour.

After bringing Kiwi audiences onto their feet, Kendrick will then be performing at 2018's 'Splendour in the Grass' festival in Byron Bay.

Having recently taken 'The Damn.' tour across the UK and Europe, NZ's set list has been built from Kendrick's multi-platinum selling catalogue, including 'good kid, m.A.A.d city (2012)' featuring 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' and 'Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe'; 'To Pimp A Butterfly (2015)' featuring 'King Kunta', 'Alright' and 'i' and compilation album 'untitled unmastered'.

Fresh off the back of his sophomore album 'November', Californian neo-soul singer SiR will play his first ever Kiwi show, joining the bill as Kendrick’s support. Starting out in music co-writing material for the likes of Ginuwine, Jill Scott and the legendary Stevie Wonder, SiR, aka Sir Darryl Farris, creates soulful R&B in the style of Frank Ocean and Anderson Paak.

Kendrick's latest and fourth studio album 'Damn.' guaranteed his place as one of the world's greatest artists. With chart-topping singles 'Loyalty' (feat. Rihanna), 'Love' (feat. Zacari) and 'Humble.', 'Damn.' became Kendrick's third album to surpass one million album sales in the US (joining 'To Pimp A Butterfly' and 'good kid, m.A.A.d city') and earned him a staggering five Grammy Award wins from a total of seven nominations.

"A widescreen masterpiece of rap." - Pitchfork

"Brilliant, sharp-edged storytelling from an artist at the top of his game." - The Guardian

Kendrick is currently riding high on the NZ charts with his no. 2 smash hit soundtrack album 'Black Panther: The Album' and collaborations with SZA ('All the Stars'), The Weeknd ('Pray for Me')—both top 5 hits. He was named one of the '100 Most Influential People' in the world by TIME Magazine and in the 'Best 10 Rappers of All Time' by Billboard, amongst other accolades. With 13 billion Spotify streams, 12 Grammy awards, and over six million album sales worldwide under his belt, Kendrick Lamar has an incredible reach that proves his music dominance in this age.

Witness one of hip-hop's wisest wordsmiths, Kendrick Lamar, performing his thought-provoking pieces live next month!
