A Tour of Jameson With Roisin

Scottish born John Jameson set off to Dublin in the 1770s to start a whiskey distillery and, in doing so, took the great Irish tradition and put his stamp on it, in the process becoming more Irish than the Irish themselves.

‘Sine Metu’, meaning without fear, is the Jameson family motto, awarded for their bravery in battling pirates on the high seas back in the 1500s. This motto was the inspiration for John’s move to Dublin to make his mark. The rest, as they say, is history!
