Every month we run a 1.5 hour workshop designed to teach partners how to effectively use acupressure points in the month before birth and during labour.
The one hour session is taught by Debra Betts, who's interest in pregnancy led to setting up acupuncture and acupressure courses for midwives and her booklet on acupressure use in labour. Debra has published numerous journal articles relating to acupuncture use in pregnancy and lectures internationally on the use of maternity acupuncture and acupressure.
In 2008 Debra founded a hospital antenatal acupuncture clinic that provides free acupuncture treatment during pregnancy and more recently in 2014 she completed her PhD on the use of acupuncture in threatened miscarriage.
She has now opened an accessible community clinic from Newtown Acupuncture Centre.
This class is recommended for women between 25- 41 weeks of pregnancy.
Classes limited to 10 couples, so bookings required. You can come alone, with a friend or partner. Just let us know.
