Artists In Eden Day

This annual fixture on the Auckland cultural calendar brings around 40 contemporary artists into Mt Eden Village to paint "live" in front of the mountain Maungawhau. Their completed artworks can be bid for at the end of the event in a much-anticipated live auction. Other entertainment throughout the day includes live music, a children's art tent, raffles, collaborative artist sketch books and other special art projects.

Come and join us in celebrating over 30 years in the park along with regular participants such as artists George Baloghy, Simon Williams, Claudia Pond Eyley, John Horner and Rebecca Tune, as well as newer faces including Nicholas Pound, Krystie Wade and Belinda Griffiths. Auction 2.30pm rain or shine! Proceeds help to fund Eden Arts community arts projects throughout the year.

Our rain venue is the wonderful Mt Eden Community Centre on Ngauruhoe Street, and the many Mt Eden eateries will be open all day to tempt your taste buds while you ponder the art that is being created before your eyes!
