Christchurch based Leith McMurray and Julie McGeorge are both "Aspergerian" or "Aspies" of lifelong experience.

Leith, a registered social worker, and Julie, a psychology and counselling graduate, founded Aspiehelp in 2010 as a non-profit, peer support organisation, which has evolved into a highly professional service.

Aspiehelp’s ‘wrap-around’ services provide pre and post diagnosis assessment, counselling, resources, advocacy, and much more.

In this session, they will speak to the development of Aspiehelp, based on New Zealand’s unique Social Work Model, give some examples of issues they deal with as autistics every day, and welcome your questions.
