Deer Planet is eight outdoor lightboxes of animals freely interacting with the city of Nara. Like all animals, deer require sustenance, companionship and the ability to contribute to the future of their species. Unlike most wild animals, however, there are deer that live freely in the midtown section of the ancient capital Nara and in the Miyajima Island in Japan.

Yoko will give a walk and talk about her photography Deer Planet.
Join this unique opportunity at the Festival to hear Yoko discuss her work in Deer Planet. Please note this is an outdoor walk and talk so be weather prepared.

Book a free expert session to discuss your photography. This is an opportunity to have your images seen and appraised by leading international and local experts. Professional, amateur, student, hobby photographers and the general public are invited to bring in their images for the reviewers to see and give feedback on. Bring prints or your own computer or tablet to view. The public can also drop by. Sessions will be 20 minutes one on one.
