The prestigious Auckland Cup Week culminates with Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day on 9 March 2019. It’s the final hurrah to an incredible summer of racing.

With the running of the $500,000 Group 1 Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup the feature of the day, the revered piece of silverware (from which the week takes its name) and a place in the history books will go to one of racing’s great athletes vying for the big prize.

Racegoers are encouraged to add a touch of blue to their outfits in an ode to Auckland City and the day will also play host to a fashion competition where lady luck determines who wins and who gets pipped at the post.
