Best Foods National BBQ Day is back with a bang in 2019! Last year was a nationwide hit that saw New Zealanders celebrate the last of summer in true Kiwi fashion – so we’re making it an annual event with the last Sunday of February being a day dedicated to the humble Kiwi BBQ.
To celebrate the momentous occasion, Best Foods is bringing the BBQ to the people! Aucklanders can head on over to the Fairburn Reserve next to the Otahuhu Pool & Leisure Centre from 12.00pm – 4.00pm on Best Foods National BBQ Day, Sunday 24th February, and celebrate with us.
There will be a BBQ (or two) fired up with free sausages sizzling away, some awesome activities for the whole family and a ton of giveaways. Plus, if you’re in need of some cooling down, head into the Otahuhu Pool & Leisure Centre (free entry) for a dip or a bomb in their bombing pool!
With support from Mai FM, Best Foods will be manning the barbies and dishing out delicious snags for all to enjoy. Mai FM Morning Crew hosts, Nickson and Lily, will be there to help spread the mayo and ensure the sausages are cooked to perfection.
If you’re not in Auckland, the Mai FM crew will also be running free sausage sizzles in four other locations throughout the country from 12pm until 3pm on the 24th – Innes Common Carpark in Hamilton; Memorial Park, Tauranga; Outlet City in Tawa, Wellington; and Scarborough Park, Sumner Beach, Christchurch.
Grab your mates and whanau and come on over to the Fairburn Reserve next to the Otahuhu Pool & Leisure Centre on Best Foods National BBQ Day to celebrate with us!
