Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course comprises two Sunday sessions 1 - 4 PM and presents a great opportunity for children to spend time with their parent, grandparent or care-giver in nature. The course is suitable for children in the 7 - 12 year age range and their caregiver.

Over two afternoons, we will explore local bush, estuaries and the seashore to learn about the habits and habitats of the birds we will see.

For the first afternoon, we will gather at Selwyn Community Education for a classroom session. Then we will head down to Kepa Bush in the Purewa Valley for our first field trip. On this first session, we will agree meeting places for the next weekend.

The course fee of $99 is for one child and one adult. When you enrol, please nominate the name of the adult attending with the child.

Binoculars are not essential for this course but if you have some, bring them along.

Tutor: Tali Jellyman
