This play was written by Denise Dent to mark the 140th anniversary of the Kaitangata Mining Disaster, which occurred on the 21st February 1879.
It draws on newspaper reports and the coroner's inquest to tell the story of the tragedy in which 34 men and boys lost their lives. Performed by adults and children from Balclutha and Kaitangata.
