St Matthew’s Anglican Church King St Hastings has been hosting its Blossom Festival Concert Series for over a decade, and is once again happy to announce that this year we will be presenting lunchtime concerts featuring talented musicians and choirs from seven local Secondary Schools.

The six concerts will take place in the historic Hastings church beginning on Thursday 5 September with Iona College, continuing through the following week September 9-13.

A spokesperson for the parish said, “Whether you prefer Brass to Barbershop, Classic or contemporary, much loved pieces or the thrill of something new, you’ll experience it all here, in one place. No two concerts are the same, so why not come to them all. We are extremely fortunate to have this wealth of young talent in our local area and are more than happy to provide a venue where it can be showcased to the wider community.”

Concerts take place between 12.15 -1.00pm each lunchtime. Entry is free but gold coin donations are welcomed. Members of the public are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy the atmosphere and music.
