Half of all marine life has been lost in the last 40 years. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish.

Featuring passionate advocates for ocean preservation, the film tackles themes of habitat destruction, species loss and pollution. Filmed in the seas surrounding Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and the USA, Blue looks at how the very nature of the ocean is being altered - a story relevant to the whole world.

This is an event aiming to inspire positive change, you cannot help walking out of this film feeling ready to alter habits and support our oceans!

Ticket proceeds will be donated to Our Seas Our Future, a local charity working to protect New Zealand’s coastal and marine ecosystems through advocacy, education, and environmental stewardship. We will also have awesome eco goodies given away as spot prizes on the night.

BLUE is the story our generation needs to hear. We hope this film will change the way we think about our liquid world and inspire audiences to action.
